Native Mandarin and Japanese speaker. Born and raised in Singapore and lived in Tokyo and Shanghai for a combination of 8 years.

How did you get started teaching?
To share my journey teaching English as ESL, which prompted me to pursue a path of linguistics. Learning languages always fascinated me and I want to share my tips and tricks, as well as passion for languages with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children and middle-aged adults with little to zero fluency. Age ranges from 2 to 55.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't see learning languages as a chore, its one of the most valuable lifelong skill that you will learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why are we seeking to learn this language? It's a process that takes time, patience and love. If we can't set the correct expectations then we need to define that.
