Vivian's Tutoring

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Washington. I recently completed the General Chemistry and General Biology series

My approach to tutoring is flexible and utilizes active-learning. For example, I teach the important concepts and vocabulary and then check their understanding using various methods. This can include a discussion or practice problems that encourage the student to use critical problem-solving skills based on that subject.

I enjoy it when my student get the Aha! moment after they are stuck on a concept. I enjoy being able to break down a hard concept into small, digestible steps for them to understand and be able to apply the concept to practice problems.
