What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to help students gain a fundamental understanding of the topic and then build and grow. Ultimately I try to find which methods work best for my students whether it be pictures, videos or reading. A stress free environment so they don't feel pressured allows students to excel more

I hold a BSc in Diagnotic Radiography (1st class honours). I have a BA in biology and molecular genetics, graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors. I am pursuing a doctorate in medicine. Years of classroom and exposure to the fields allow a unique insight into learning
How did you get started teaching?
I saw there was a need for at risk students in my local community who did. It have the support they needed. I wanted to allow them to grow and not feel like anything is out of their reach. I focused heavy on showing many different paths your education can take you o
What types of students have you worked with?
At risk patients, low income families, pre-med students. I also advise on medical school applications and course selections
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently one of my previous students got accepted into medical school. The first of her generation which made me immensely proud that I was able to help her
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who will test you and make you think about the concepts. Let them make it personal to you
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have you been able to pinpoint where you are struggling? As much detail as possible helps. Sometime it's hard to learn if your learning style is different, don't be afraid to try new methods
