I am a dedicated reading and writing tutor with a Master’s in Teaching and a WA State Teaching Certificate (K-8). I have over 20 years experience in a variety of educational arenas and over 5 years of private tutoring experience helping students build strong literacy skills.

I am trained in Wired for Reading, a proven program designed to support students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. My approach combines explicit phonics instruction, decoding strategies, and guided practice with reading and spelling to build accuracy, fluency, and comprehension.

I am also a certified Life Coach for Kids and I specialize in guiding students who struggle with reading and writing to develop confidence and independence, and cultivate a growth mindset. I am skilled at working with neurodivergent students and am able to keep them engaged using a variety of Brain Gym and Brain Dance exercises.

Whether your child needs support with phonemic awareness, fluency, spelling, vocabulary development, or reading comprehension, I provide personalized, engaging lessons tailored to their unique learning style. My goal is to help every student become a capable, motivated, and joyful reader and writer.
