Maiya Decena-Chinn

As a current masters student in research in psychology, I am passionate on teaching about the subject. Additionally, I have worked with students from kindergarten through 8th grade, and worked with students at the college level whether it be with math, writing, or psychology. Due to my background in psychology, I have become of the mindset in teaching and helping others by using holistic methods as well as methods that are evidence-based in improving one’s academic performance. I tailor my tutoring based on the experience and learning style of the student. I also am very patient and am open to constructive feedback so that I am better able to improve my methods to further enhance the student’s learning experience.
