I care a ton about teaching and helping students with English. I have a ton of knowledge surronding special ed kids (autism, ADHD, etc) and am very passionate about helping people. I really just want to help you or your child learn and succeed in their learning environment.
I enjoy connecting with students and seeing them reach their full potential. During Elementry school I really struggled with math and was able to work through it with the help of a great teacher. I hope to help other kids like my math teacher helped me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first and formost like to get to know new students. I like to know their likes and dislikes so I can adapt our sessions to interest and help them. When a student is interested in what they are learning they are much more likely to engage with the information and retain it. That is the main reason why I like to get to know my students. I also like to discuss goals with them and their parents if applicable. My main job is to help a student reach their reading and writing goals. I believe that I can do this by connecting and engaging with students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have experince tutoring high school sophomores and am very familiar with special ed programs in schools. I have taken many advanced English classes including AP. I won the outstanding achievement award in my past AP English class for the essays and reading analyses I did. I have also won essay contests including the 2021 Why Learn Languages contest. I am a strong reader/writer and would love to help you or your child acheive their reading, writing and general english goals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am pretty fleixible on pricing. I price 30-45 minute sessions around $25 - $35 but am willing to adapt that price based on your financial needs. I live in Sammamish, WA and am willing to do any online tutoring. If you would like me to drive down in person I may add a few dollars just based upon how far the meeting location is from my house.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Every Friday I zoom with my 80 year old grandparents. Due to Covid-19 they have been pretty lonely since none of their kids live near them anymore. Zooming with them and seeing how happy it makes them to be able to connect with me just melts my heart. My grandparents are the sweetest people. I would do anything to make them happy and even though it's a small gesture doing our Friday zooms has given both my grandparents and me something to look forward to.
