About

I stand out because I provide very thorough and respectful tutoring and am very willing to help. I spare no detail. I have been casually tutoring for about 4 years now but I'm finally getting more serious. I am also extremely flexible with online tutoring pretty much any time during the week.

I love teaching people and experiencing the moment that people really grasp a concept is very special to me. This is one of the few works in life in which I can truly see my work done. I love to help people through hard concepts and challenging times.

Frequently asked questions

I first get to know them a little and then I try to get them to feel comfortable. Its really important to me that the learning environment is both engaging and easy to get into. Since it is very important, I want students to engage with me and feel comfortable doing so to maximize the learning potential.

I have a full high school education and am currently finishing my Associates in Business. I have taken English and Math classes, as well as pre-calculus and Business Calculus. I have also worked with people to teach them since I was in Boy Scouts from the time I was 13 until 18. That taught me a lot about what it means to teach well and mentor.

Depending on what level I am working with, I will vary my price. My lessons are thorough anD thus take some time. My price will be somewhere between $20-$25 an hour considering that I will be carefully making sure that the student understands the material. PayPal is my method of payment, and I will always round up to the closest hour to standarize the pricing.

Originally I got started helping all my friends for a few years. Then I went onto helping one of my friends closer to full time to help him get his G.E.D.

I've worked with most kinds of students. I'm able and willing to work with students across the spectrum, but I have no experience working with special needs ans not comfortable working with them just yet.

Spending 2 hours working with one of my best friends working on his G.E.D. and seeing him grasp a hard concept we worked really hard on. It was a great moment we were both proud of.

I would say do a lot of research. Once they have narrowed it down, don't be afraid to reach out and get to know them. The more they know, the more they can help you.

I would say that understanding what you know you need is important, plus understanding the requirements and limitations of the teacher is super important to know as well so you can get your needs best met.
