About
I recently graduated with a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from University of Washington, where I've had to take one or more math classes each quarter. Therefore, I've been doing math nonstop since I started school back in first grade.
I worked as a Research Assistant for the Navy with a professor from UW during undergrad where I developed algorithms to predict part obsolesence using statistics and calculus.
In addition, I completed an internship for an aerospace manufacturing company, and currently work in supply chain/operations. Both of these jobs require continuous use of math and working with others.
I grew up entering math competitions and ended up being a tutor in the subject during high school. As my family moved often, it was sometimes difficult to follow the curriculum at new schools, therefore I had to learn to pick up the pieces I was missing on my own. This helped me find useful tricks and tips to help understand math better. Can't wait to help others do the same!
I love hearing students have that "aha" moment when they finally understand what is going on with a certain topic. Math can be extremely helpful once it's understood. It's the basis of other sciences and subjects, such as chemistry, computer schience, busniess, etc. I'd love to help out others get as many "aha" moments as possible!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start by getting an understanding of their current knowledge and desired goals, then work together to build a program that works best for them.
I'll be doing the tutoring online where I can help through video chat, phone calls, text, provide short video tutorials, list of tips & tricks, give proctice problems, step-by-step solutions, etc. Whatever makes the person learn best. I aim to provide visuals or simple explanations to break down bigger concepts.
