About

I am willing to take the extra mile and help when students truly need a helping hand. There is much more to learning that getting good grades and I believe that one should nurture natrual curiosity in a student, no matter the age. Only then can a student grasp a concept beyond the grade and apply it to their living situations.

I enjoy the great challanges that a student faces and the spark in one's mind once they figure it out. Seeing a student not only enjoy but seek harder problems and ask the big "why's" is the reason learning is so fun for me. I want students to really know what to do with information or skills they aquire.

    Frequently asked questions

I want to know their current curriculum and understand the way that they tackle problems. I want them to teach me about how they learn so I can pin point any strong suits and help tackle any challenges.

I currently have a General Associates in Arts from South Puget Sound Community College. During this time I was tutoring students, mostly elementary and middle school kids. I am currently studying at the University of Washington for a Bachelors in Biology: Physiology, but enjoy learning and teaching Math, Natrual Sciences, and English.

My prices can vary from $ 20-30 depending on age and subject.

I started teaching elementary students at my home town unofficially and taking any donations. My first true students were my younger siblings, which then branched out to a couple families that heard I helped a student improve with his reading skills.

Most of my students have been around the age of 7-12 for basic homework and subject help.

    Ask yourself these questions:

What topics am I proficient in?

How and why can I understand it?

    Can I teach it?

What topics am I not proficient in?

What do I understand about them?

How can I improve what I do know?

Can I apply this to topics I don't understand?

Can I identify where I could use some guidence?

These questions may seem a little redundant, but when addressing your needs to a teacher or tutor, it is important they understand where you struggle and where you don't so that they may help you comprehend more clearly.
