Bridge Spanish Tutoring
About
I am a native Spanish and English speaker. I come from a household of immigrants who reinvented their lives in the United States, all the way from the most southern country in South America- Chile! I learned English as a child in daycare and then began to lose most of my Spanish skills. I chose to make it my mission to relearn and revive my native language, and now after years of education, I am encouraged to share my skills of language, learning, and education with you!
I have studied Spanish at home, in High School, in College, and in every single job up until now. I majored with a degree in Psychology and minored with a certificate in Spanish. I have tested with Advanced Levels in my workplace, and have been able to take my skills into the field of education and advising as I work with students from elementary to high school for the past 8 years.
I look forward to getting to know you and your goals. Vamos, amigos, let's learn and have fun!

It is SO exciting and satisfying to see a student discover and make connections! Especially if they thought they could never learn something. I have enjoyed tutoring students who feel stuck and need some extra hope that they can do it! We all need people who believe in us.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Learning students' needs! I need to start by understanding their level of interest, desire, challenges, and skills so that we can move and scaffold learning appropriately.
Being creative! Listening, speaking, role-playing, trying new strategies, playing games, and staying active will all help in the process. Learning should be challenging, fun, and unique!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with children since I was 18 years old as a Recreational Leader. This experience coupled with being in the education field for over 8 years has allowed me to explore new ways of thinking and supporting students through their educational journey.
I also have experience learning Spanish in my household as well as in school! Including high school and college. Where I earned my Minor and certificate in Spanish.
