English Language And Writing Tutoring

Education is a lifelong passion of mine, and the reason I am a teacher. I graduated from Hawai'i Pacific University with a BA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). During my time at university, I obtained my CRLA Level I tutor certification while working as a writing and Japanese tutor for university students.

After graduating, I worked as a tutor and teacher in a variety of environments: from a bilingual French-English elementary school to private tutoring and teaching online. I have worked with all ages of students, ranging from preschool to adults, and I also am experienced in working with students with learning disabilities.

I specialize in all things English, including literature, ESL, essay writing, creative writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and public speaking. One thing I focus on in my teaching is personalizing lessons to specific student needs. I pride myself in going above and beyond for my students. I once was unsatisfied with the workbooks I found online for a student who wanted to write a story, so I did what seemed like the simplest solution: taking on creating the entire workbook myself.

My goal is to help my students succeed, and I recognize that success looks different to everyone. No matter where you are at in your learning journey, I am happy to be a part of your journey.
