It's all about your perspective and who you get to do it with! I've been tutoring for 5 years and have been a homeschool teacher for 2 years! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first session I would spend getting to know the student. I want to build a relationship first before we dive into anything academic. Without a solid relationship and trust being built, we will not be as successful!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've tutored for 5 years, homeschool teacher for 2 years, as well as, many internships within teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start at $35/hour. If our meeting point is a bit of a distance for me, I also require gas reimbursement. If you have any questions, just contact me and we can chat pricing!
How did you get started teaching?
I've always been inspired by my teachers that truly cared about me. I realized at a young age that I wanted to make a mark on a students life that same way my teachers did for me!
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary, Middle School, and High School students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone you connect with! There are a lot of smart people out there, but you have to pick the one that encourages you to do the best you can do!
