Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all, I have a short conversation with my student. I understand his/her English level. Then, I draw a road map.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is synergic. Student-centered.
In our lessons, we try to speak English (or the langugae we try to learn) as much as we can.
I use visual materials in my class. After the class, I send the used material to Google Classroom file. At the same time, I send some simple assignments by using Kahoot or Memrise. (or any kind of applications that can help.)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lessons are at the weekends.
For a one-hour lesson, the price is 15 or 20 USD.
According to the level and the age of the student(s), the price can change.
How did you get started teaching?
My department is English Language Teaching.
During the pandemic, I'm at home like many people in the world. I gave English lesson before. Now, I give online private/group lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
For any level, I can give English lessons.
I can give English grammar, reading, speaking, reading comprehension, translation lessons.
Also, I give Turkish & Persian lessons.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You should look at how a teacher teaches a lesson and what the teacher benefits from as a material.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
At the end of all the lessons,
Am I able to read the text correctly? Will my pronunciation be better?
Am I able to speak fluently?
Am I able to understand what I read?
