I have 15 years of high school teaching experience. I am bilingual, Spanish and English. I was gifted endorsed and worked 6 years in alternative education. I currently teach AP History at Cox high school where I also work in Instructional Coaching Team where I coach other teachers. I write curriculum for the city and the State of Virginia. I love to make learning authentic and fun
Love students especially when they mastered an idea they thought was out of their reach. I love to teach how to reason for themselves.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first find out what they already know, then I investigate how they prefer to learn. I will then create a lesson that is student centered focusing on their strengths and help raise their lack in either knowledge or skill in a fun engaging way
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Virginia professional teaching license that expires in 10 years. I was gifted, reading, ESOL endorsed and trained as a curriculum coach. I work with ODU in training future teachers. I am endorsed in peer counseling with degrees in Psychology, Sociology and minor in Theology from Gordon College in Massachusetts. I coached both boys and girls tennis where we Wong the district and regions. I also coached in Florida and Norfolk Christian. I played both tennis and volleyball in college. I'm originally from Argentina, I speak fluent Spanish.
