Experienced Chemistry And Physical Science Tutor
About
When I teach I take the time to ensure that students understand the course materials. I allow students to be themselves; it’s in that way they learn the most they can from a class session. I have a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, I have an Associate degree in Natural and Applied Science and I have completed my high diploma covering science courses, math and accounting.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, I ensure know my students’ weak and strong areas. I ensure I know how they learn; if they strive better in an environment that is more interactive, theoretical or more practical applications. My students are my priority. I believe they learn more when they are in an environment that makes it easier for them to understand the materials. Throughout my students’ progress I introduce some of challenges to see how they manage and I take it from there.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at age 16. I taught 3rd-6th graders for six months while I was finishing high school and throughout my summer holiday in 2010. I then went on to University and after completing University I got a job as. HS/MS teacher for Physical Science/ Chemistry and Biology at the Portsmouth Christian School.
What types of students have you worked with?
In My classroom as a teacher, I have worked with students who are willing to learn, who appreciate the value of having more knowledge and to see the success of those students makes me proud. However, my proudest moments were working with students who were not interested in school at all but, with that challenge I dug deep for the positive within those students and put primary focus on those students to let them know that they are much more valuable and knowledgeable than they think. The approach to make them see thier worth made a lot of difference; which lead to success.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently worked with a student who had ADHD and when I first started teaching he was quiet and he didn’t speak or answer questions much in class. I then took the approach to make my classroom more of an environment where students can be open, yet respectful and be themselves. That made a lot of difference in this young man’s life. He started answering and asking questions when he did understand a topic. He comes to me ask additional questions to ensure he is on the right path. And he finished my class with an overall 92% average. It made me proud to see how much he has progressed and to see the potential I saw in him came out.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1. Ask yourself these questions: What level of help are you looking for? Do you need help with homework, a specific topic or just the entire subject area? What areas do you want to see the tutor improve? What is your learning style? Has the tutor taught students within your age group? And what is the educational background level of the tutor, and how will it impact my improvement.
