Any Level Spanish Tutoring
About
I have the experience of being a Spanish student myself and can very much hone work study skills to make sure that students can not only understand the content but match the pace of their curriculum. I have worked with many English Second language families and have experience tutoring.
It enriches my own Spanish speaking skils and gives me the opportunity to practice older grammatical skills. I enjoy working with Latinx immigrant families so these skills are imperative with my career goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see copies of past tests and homework assignments to get a feel for the class they are struggling with. Then, I will analyze what they are getting wrong to understand how they learn to bridge the gap between their skill level and the pace of their course. My biggest concern is figuring out how to make the course work for the student, it's important to work smarter not harder.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored low-income English Second Language students for over a year, and tutored as a volunteer in SAT prep, Math, Psychology, AP Human Geography, for over 50 hours each. My specialty is Spanish as I have 7 years of experience as a Spanish student, 3 of which have been at a college level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I prefer an hourly rate to a session rate. (If I charge $12/hour, I would want $18 for a 1.5 hour long session) I am very flexible with pricing and prefer Venmo for payment.
How did you get started teaching?
Through school programs and volunteering opportunities.
What types of students have you worked with?
Low-income, English-Second-Language, General Education High School Students
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently began my 3rd year in my chapter's National Spanish Honors Society.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The teacher has to work for you, and if they don't it is important to guide them towards your goal. Adjusting your lessons and finding the right teacher for you is going to help you ensure success.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How can I be respectful and display passion? Being pro-active and passionate is an immediate green-flag for any tutor or teacher. Always frame your discussions with a growth mindset and show an earnest interest in growing your knowledge.
