Parsa does an amazing job of being flexible in order to work with his students’ schedules! Furthermore, if I couldn’t meet with him, he created asynchronous lesson plans that helped me work towards improvement little by little. He is super helpful when reviewing test answers, and actually helped me learn numerous skills that i can use on my next SAT! 10/10- would recommend😁

I have had a very positive experience. Feedback is provided extremely quickly when working on practice problems, and class timings are very flexible which makes it easy to adjust into my schedule. The explanations are also well explained and helpful, and multiple different ways to solve the problems are taught to make it even easier.

    Frequently asked questions

My typical process for working with a new student begins with identifying their specific areas of improvement through an initial assessment or discussion. I then create a personalized plan tailored to their goals and learning style. Together, we practice real test problems to build confidence and develop effective strategies, ensuring a thorough understanding of the material and steady progress toward their objectives.
I have extensive experience in teaching both math and English across various levels. I achieved a 1500 on the SAT and earned an internationally recognized IB Diploma, reflecting my strong academic foundation. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at UCLA and am now embarking on my journey as a medical student, bringing a unique perspective and dedication to my teaching.
I structure payment based on the length of the program and the difficulty of the class. This allows for a fair and customized approach that aligns with each student's specific needs. Please note that all payments are non-refundable following the first session, ensuring commitment and continuity throughout the program.
I began my teaching journey in high school, where I developed a passion for education while helping peers master concepts in Algebra 2 and Geometry. Since then, I have honed my skills as an educator, emphasizing clarity, patience, and tailored approaches to meet each student's unique learning style. My early experiences not only deepened my understanding of mathematical principles but also instilled a lifelong commitment to empowering others through education.
I have experience teaching and tutoring students at all levels, from kindergarten through college. This broad range allows me to adapt my approach to suit diverse age groups, skill levels, and learning styles, ensuring each student receives the guidance they need to succeed.
One recent tutoring experience that I’m particularly fond of involved helping a high school student prepare for their SAT. They initially struggled with the math section, especially in algebra and geometry, which are areas I specialize in. We worked through real SAT problems, breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and developing strategies tailored to their learning style. Over time, their confidence grew, and they began solving problems independently with greater accuracy. When they shared their improved practice test score, it was incredibly rewarding to see their hard work and our collaborative efforts pay off. Moments like these remind me why I’m passionate about tutoring—helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals.
When looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise, I recommend considering the following: Look for Tailored Approaches: Ensure the teacher is willing to adapt their teaching methods to fit your unique learning style and goals. A personalized plan makes all the difference in effectively addressing areas of improvement. Check for Strong Subject Knowledge: A tutor should have a solid understanding of the subject matter. Look for someone with proven expertise, such as a strong academic background, test scores, or certifications relevant to your needs. Ask About Experience: Seek a tutor with experience working with students at your level. Whether it’s SAT prep, math, English, or college-level courses, their experience should align with your goals. Focus on Communication: A good teacher should explain complex concepts clearly and be approachable for any questions or concerns. Strong communication skills are essential for a successful learning experience. Look for Consistency and Commitment: Choose someone who is dependable, structured, and invested in your success. A teacher who sets realistic expectations and offers steady support can make the learning process smooth and effective. Ultimately, find someone who not only has the qualifications but also genuinely cares about your progress and empowers you to succeed.
What are my goals? Define what you want to achieve. Are you aiming to improve test scores, master a specific subject, or gain confidence in certain skills? What are my strengths and weaknesses? Identify the areas where you excel and where you struggle. This helps the teacher tailor their approach to your needs. What is my preferred learning style? Reflect on how you learn best—through visual aids, hands-on practice, discussions, or step-by-step instructions. What is my current level of understanding? Assess your starting point. Are you new to the subject or looking to build on existing knowledge? How much time can I dedicate? Be realistic about how many hours you can commit to studying and tutoring each week. What resources or support do I need? Consider if you need additional materials, practice tests, or ongoing feedback.
