Tutoring for Math, Programming, and Spanish

I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics. As a graduate student, I helped students in college level math courses as a Teaching Assistant and worked in the university's "math lab," an area where students can get assistance from other students that have done well in several math courses. Furthermore, I have tutored students in Algebra II and Precalculus specifically. Altogether, I have over 2,000 hours of experience helping students understand math and programming concepts. I also got A's in every math course I have taken. I can also help with SAT/ACT/GRE prep in Math: 760 on both the SAT math and reading section, scored 166 on the General GRE Quantative Reasoning section, and 750 on the Math subject GRE (all of these were on my first and only try).

Also as a graduate student, I taught Python to new college students, many of whom had never programmed before. From September 2018 to April 2020 I spent about four hours per week helping students fix their Python programs. I also have experience with Java and C++.

Finally, I spent two years learning Spanish from native speakers of the language. I taught an informal Spanish class and have previous experience in tutoring Spanish. I also received the highest grade in the class of 30 students in a third year Spanish course at college.

I love it when students go from thinking something doesn't make any sense to understanding it completely! I also enjoy going above and beyond with students that show an interest in learning more.
