I have been a tutor since I was in 8th grade. I started out by teaching in an organization which was/is helping slum children get good education with zero cost overrun. I was teaching math, english and computer; until I was in 12th grade. After that I started teaching maths in the tutoring service of the college I was attending; over there, I was teaching all the way from basic math to Calculus II (which involves calculus with more than one variable) and Calculus III (which involves calculus with imaginary numbers).

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I don't have any particular set of rubrix which I follow since I like to think that each student are unique in their own ways. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Once I find where that person is having trouble, I try to help them accordingly to overcome their problem.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a teaching maths, english, all the science and computer all the way from 8th grade to 12th. And after that I've been a match tutor in a college tutoring services.
How did you get started teaching?
I used to think (and I still do think) that you are alive as long as you are learning something new. Once someone does stop learning, there is no difference between the said person and a mashed potato.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all kinds of different students. I've taught calculus to cliques of students. The student I was most proud to teach was a 60-year old lady on how to calculate discounts.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think every student needs a tutor which they can click with. Don't just go and try to learn from someone just because that said person is also teaching your friend. Everyone was their way of teaching which some might enjoy and others won't.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should atleast read some text on their doubts before asking of someone else's help just so that they would get an idea on what they're against.
