About
My name is Jade Lee. I currently am a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Elementary Education & Teaching. I want to become a fifth-grade teacher. I currently work at a daycare, since September, as an afterschool teacher. At my job, I help assist students with their classwork and homework. I currently specialize in grades K-5. I have a passion to help and teach children because they are our future. I want to be the change I wanted to see while I was in their position. Thank you for your time!
I enjoy interacting with my kids to see what ideas they can come up with. My kids are smarter than they think they are, so I love helping them gain the confidence they need.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am new to private tutoring. First, I would like to have a quick introduction with your child so we can get acclimated. Then we would discuss what we can help improve your child's learning. Since there are many ways children learn, I will figure out the best way that works for your child. Then we can learn away!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education: I am currently earning my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Teaching.
Work: I currently work at a daycare as an afterschool teacher that works with grades K-5.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I currently do not have a standard pricing system for my lessons right now. Since I am new to private tutoring, I am willing to negotiate prices.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started into teaching when I switched departments at my job from toddlers to afterschool age. I went from wanting to be a pediatrician to a nurse, then finally came to the decision of wanting to be a teacher! I just knew I wanted to deal with kids, just did not know in what setting.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with and currently work with K-5 students.
