I am a responsible professional with over 20 years of experience teaching and mentoring students from preschool through college. My primary areas of experience include math, reading, and science education for kindergarten through eighth grade students.
I received my B.S. degree in Biology from Tufts University and my Ph.D. in Toxicology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
I have worked as an assistant teacher in a Junior Kindergarten classroom. For many years, I owned and operated a Kumon Math and Reading Center, specializing in academic enrichment for students in preschool to high school. Currently, I am working as a Math tutor and a Substitute Teacher at a local school for girls.
I enjoy tutoring elementary and middle school students in elementary math and pre-algebra. My extensive experience in volunteering and working in elementary education have also enabled me to help young students with their handwriting and spelling skills.
I enjoy working with young students to develop their foundations in math and reading. I am capable of presenting material to students in a positive and rewarding learning environment. I have a solid work ethic and a great interest in developing a growth mindset and the highest potential in all students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically, on-site (in-person) rates are $45-$50 per hour (per session) and online rates are $30-35 per hour (per session). I do not have a contract, however, I discount in-person rates to $40 per hour per session if 5 sessions ($200) are paid in advance.
