Helping To Succeed In Biology And Chemistry
About
Hello! I am a 25 year old college graduate with a BA in biological sciences. I graduated magna cum laude with a 3.9 GPA.
I have 3 years of university-paid tutoring experience in general chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, and microbiology.
I have held two teaching assistantships, in general chemistry and organic chemistry.
Everyone needs something a little bit different. I like helping students understand, but I also think it is valuable if we can work to identify strategies and skills--for studying, test-taking, etc--that will allow you improved performance in all subject areas/courses.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
What do you hope to get from working together? And, what barrier keeps you from succeeding. For instance, are you having trouble with concepts? Are you unsure how to properly prepare for exams? Whatever the challenge, we will go from there towards a solution that works best for your needs.
What I would expect from a student I work with on a regular basis, is the title and author of the text you are learning from, and your course schedule/syllabus of topics so that I can plan our time to best help you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most recently, I was a teaching assistant for a general chemistry course. I have worked as a learning assistant in an organic chemistry course, in which I assisted students during in class activities, held office hours, and lead comprehensive review sessions.
I have tutoring experience in the listed subjects for college-aged students and those with learning disabilities, as well as experience with individualized reading instruction for children K-5.
