What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first meeting is introductory. I like to ask “What are your goals?” “What areas would you like to focus on (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, listening?” The following meeting we begin working on exercises based on needs and goals of students.

I began teaching through volunteering.

Beginners, intermediate, and advanced English language learners. I have worked with only adults, but I am open to working with children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The end of the year ESOL night at my church. The theme was The Great American Cookout and each ESOL class sang a song in English to demonstrate how far they have progressed.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Select a teacher who will challenge you, but also adjust to your pace.
