I am a licensed Reading Specialist lcertified K-12. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher K-8 in Literacy. I am a thematic teacher who teaches skills through the student's interests connecting the theme throughout all subject areas.
I enjoy seeing my students feel success and making connections with skills and concepts in all subject areas. I teach to help students build up their confidence and to help them to see themselves as learners.

I have been teaching for 28 years. I have been and elementary teacher for 25 years and have been a middle school reading specialist for 3 years. I have a Masters of Art in Professional Teaching, a Masters of Education as a Reading Specialist and I am a National Board Certified Teacher K8 in Literacy. I have been tutoring students for over ten years.
