Sara's Tutoring
About
Hi all!
My name is Sara, and I'm a Northern Virginia native. I went to high school at TJHSST and graduated from Harvard in 2016 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
I love working with students to help them unlock their potential, and I'm always ready to step up to the challenge. I have been tutoring throughout my high school and college years, ranging from elementary school level English to college level mathematics. At college, I was awarded a Certificate of Distinction in Teaching as a Teaching Assistant for a course in Thermodynamics.
I have been working as a consultant for a global management consulting company. In Fall 2020, I'll be going back to Harvard University to pursue a joint masters program at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School for my MBA and MPA.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all backgrounds and levels of strength in academics. My students have ranged from 3rd graders that needed additional support in math and reading to senior year college students who needed to master concepts of engineering thermodynamics.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals and objectives for each session, and what's the best method of learning for you, e.g., is it better to walk through examples together, is it better to deep dive into concepts to build your foundation, etc.
