About
I am the same age as the majority of students I tutor, which pairs perfectly with my patience and empathy when dealing with students who don't progress quite as fast as what the education system expects from them!
I enjoy helping others and ensuring that they get as far ahead in life as possible. Simple as that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I need to know them personally. What is their learning style? How well are they performing in class? What do they not like about the teacher that's making them come to me? It's important to ensure that the student has a personal connection with their tutor that makes learning both effective and enjoyable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently enrolled in Advanced Placement courses and have completed all math courses up to AP Calculus AB. I have completed all of these classes with a maintained Grade Point Average of 4.1, and take great pride and care in helping those around me achieve the same.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a flat fee of $22/hr for tutoring services.
How did you get started teaching?
It began when I made the jump to advanced mathematical courses in third grade. A lot of the students that had passed the AAP exams with me were very confused due to the fact that the switch was in the middle of the school year, and they had been left without critical knowledge of the content. I had taken a lot of time to study the extra content and ended up being like a second teacher to the students around me. The same situation occurred with the IOWA tests in 6th grade, in which we were placed another grade ahead; I took a natural enjoyment from helping others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with many students. Students who immediately understood the content and moved on to not needing my help. I've also worked with classmates who initially had no passion, but simply needed somebody their age with similar experience to show them unique ways to solve problems.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A friend of mine, a Special Education student named 'Tony' recently came up to me at school and asked me how I was doing. It had been two years since I last saw him and he had moved to Maryland, so this event was a huge surprise. We met in 8th grade when I helped him with our field trip to the National Mall, as he would frequently separate from the group and have trouble fitting in with others. We became very good friends and I would help him find and complete his classes during school. Sadly, he moved away to Maryland in our 9th grade. I assumed that we wouldn't see each other again until about a month ago when he approached me at my high school. It's a surprise that I'll always be fond of.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's okay to hire a teacher for a demo session to see if their teaching style fits your learning style. There are tough and rough teachers, and there are soft teachers that suit different students based on their needs. Get to know your teacher before you trust them with bolstering your education.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should put themselves in the teacher's shoes the same way the teacher should put themselves in the student's. If a student has trouble maintaining their anger when they don't understand something; it's important that the teacher knows that so they are well aware of what to expect during the teaching experience. The teacher should also understand, even if not given a warning, that students are there to learn, and learning can be frustrating sometimes. It's all about adequate communication and empathy.
