Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all, I spend time reviewing what material will be on the quiz/test/exam personally. I work through all principals and key concepts that are likely to be on exams, making notes that I share with your student. During the time of tutoring, I will work with your student to understand what they are not understanding. If we can pinpoint problem areas and lacks of knowledge, we can dive into fixing these issues. I specialize in breaking down principles and key concepts into understandable teaching points. This is something that a lot of teachers struggle with, but it is my specialty. I will work through problems with your student as well as review issues with homework, quizzes, and prior test. Long-term tutoring with me will help your student do better during midterm and final exams, and even and even your standardized testing!
