About

I love learning, and I am a student at George Mason University majoring in Information Technology. I truly understand the value of education, and I want to help fellow students who are on the path to success. I have graduated near top of my class in high school, with the IB Program, and continue to excel in college.

I always tutor my fellow friends, and teach things to my parents. Everyone always commends my ability to teach. It is one thing to understand, but another to relay the information. I believe that anyone can be successful, regardless of how smart they believe they are. Success in school is a formula; it is a process that can be mastered by anyone.

I look forward to teaching you hand-in-hand, in as many different ways and with as much time you need, this process which I speak of to help you acheive your most ambitious goals.

I will respond very promptly and am flexible as per your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a successful college student, which makes me young enough to be relatable to a lot of younger people. However, I take education very seriously and love teaching.

I guide many people on fitness training, technology and coding, as well as maths and english. I have been told that I can teach anything, because I can break it down into simple components and relate it to things you already know. In Maths, I have won awards for the highest grade scored out of all Algebra sections, along with pass advanced SOL scores in all high school math courses. I have also recevied A+ in Calculus in college.

Also, I have gone through the education system fairly recently, and likely have struggled with the exact same things!

However, I conquered them, graduating with Summa Cum Laude and a 4.21 GPA in high school. In college, I continue to receive Dean's list every semester. I have countless accolades of academic excellence, but what I value most is being able to help others learn!

Frequently asked questions

When teaching a new student, I seek to understand how they learn and before anything else. I also like to build rapport and connect with him/her such that I can tailor my tutoring to his/her individual needs. I ask direct questions on what helps them learn in school; however, I also go through simpler concepts to gauge their level and what techniques they respond best to.

I have graduated near top of my class in the IB Programme in high school with an advanced diploma and a GPA of 4.21. I have scored perfect scores in reading and writing SOLs, won many accolades for my performance in math, and also have taken advanced college courses in Computer Science while in high school.

I do not have a standard pricing system yet. These details may be discussed on a case by case basis; I encourage potential students to contact me for a prompt response.

I began by teaching my peers in high school. I helped them learn various concepts in school, and they gave me positive feedback. I then became motivated to teach more and more people, and more friends came to me to receive tutoring in math, english, and technology. I gained a lot of experience teaching them, and became encouraged to read books on pyschology to understand how people learn.

I have worked with my peers in high school, older people such as my parents, as well as younger middle schoolers. I have taught some friends' younger siblings who were grade levels below me in high school and middle school. I can work with anyone of any age.

Some friends of mine, as well as their siblings, were struggling to learn in the new online format. Times have been challenging for education during this time of the coronavirus. However, I was able to help tutor them and help them excel in their courses. I am grateful to have been able to get them through the past semester and school year.

I would advice students to look for teachers that have successful experiences in the subject, and have accomplishments to show for it. Perhaps someone who has experienced the school system recently, as someone who went to school many decades ago might have experienced something totally different.

However, I believe it is most important to find someone that students feel they can relate to. Ultimately, that will determine whether or not the student feels heard, and also feels comfortable enough to ask questions.

They should try to understand what their needs are. It is crucial to self-reflect and understand what sort of learner they are, and what has worked for them in the past.

They can also make a list of what they already do understand, and what exactly is bringing them the issue. The more information they can provide to the tutor about themselves, the better we can tailor our teaching to suit the student.
