Hello, everyone!

I’m Edison Goncalves, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the animation industry as a Character Designer, Illustrator, Classic 2D Animator, Animation Revisionist, and Directing Animator.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working on feature films, commercials, short films, and children's books, always striving to bring characters to life by truly understanding their personalities and motivations. My work has taken me across different mediums, helping me refine the art of visual storytelling. Most recently, I had the opportunity to work closely with the director on Sony’s upcoming film Fixed as an Animator and Revisionist, which deepened my knowledge of production workflows.

My tutorials will focus on character design fundamentals, animation techniques, expression sheets, turnarounds, and storytelling through art. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m excited to share insights from my industry experience to help you develop strong, expressive characters.

I’ve also enjoyed teaching and mentoring, from giving seminars at the Art Institute of Phoenix to serving on the Program Advisory Committee for Media Arts and Animation. I believe learning is a lifelong journey, and I look forward to engaging with this creative community!
