About
I am a highschool senior at Thomas Jefferson Highschool for Science and Technology, the renowned STEM governors school, who has a love for biology, math, and English literature.
I have worked with elementary and middle school students in the past, and currently work at Best Brains, an enrichment center that helps students become academically successful. I always enjoy teaching and watching kids grow as students.
I have always found it rewarding to help my classmates understand the concepts we learn in class. To see their confusion fade and their excitement to apply their new knowledge motivates me to keep helping students when in need. I have a younger brother and family friends who I often help with school subjects and am familiar with the standards expected from students of all ages. Additionally, I now have the opportunity to work with young kids at Best Brains, which has helped me grow immensley as a tutor.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to guage where they are in school and how much they understand the foundational concepts. Once I get an idea of what knowledge they already have, and what they have coming up, I can guide them to better understanding the unit they are working on. I also believe it is important for the student to be able to apply the concepts on their own, without help from me at all times.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and have taken various courses in STEM subjects, including AP Biology, AP Statistics, and math courses up to calculus. My highest SAT score is 1580 (800 in math and 780 in English)
