What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin our first session with a free in-person meet and greet with the student and parent to get to know one another and then discuss the student’s area of weakness in a subject. Once the areas of weakness are identified, I develop a rigorous study/work plan to ensure my students have the best chance of success in that subject(s).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated ODU with my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering degree (3.93 GPA) and truly loved being in school. Following graduation, I began working for the defense industry building nuclear powered navy ships as a full-time degreed and licensed mechanical engineer in training by the state of Virginia. I utilize practical math and science on a day to day to resolve difficult problems under harsh time constraints. My goal is to train my students to succeed in their studies but more importantly, I intend to train them to think like an engineer to solve any problem that comes their way.
