What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask that students send over relevant materials including what textbooks their classes are using, class notes, and any relevant course materials. I also ask ahead of time what subjects they would like to discuss that they may be struggling with. If we are working on writing I will read their pieces ahead of time.

5+ years of experience in tutoring in high school and college level economics, statistics, math, and technical writing.
