Nyquist Tutoring
About
Growing up, I struggled with ADHD and struggled trying to focus in class and succeed. But eventually, in high school, I learned how to cope with and disability. I succeeded and now I am an Electrical Engineering student at Georgia Tech. I have been working with kids since I was a sophmore in high school, and I have a lot of experince tutoring 5-17 year olds. I tutor kids in my neighborhood along with tutoring in high school for kids in calculous and pre-calc. Because of my disability, I know how to reach kids who are struggling. I get it. I don't believe that kids can't do it, just that they need a new approach. I am also on the Wyndy app and I have a five star rating!

I have a highschool degree. I have also taken up to mutivariable calc and linear algerba.

I expect 14-20 dollars per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started because my little sister was having similar issues in math as me. Soon her best friend's mom was asking me to help tutor her kids and I also was apart of math honors society in high school which required me to tutor kids in a lower leverl math.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids ages 5-17. All different kinds of learning styles! I am only comfortable helping kids up to calc 1.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I went to a Saint Motel concert. I very much enjoyed that event.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor who suffered in the subject. The best teachers I ever had understood what it was like to struggle. Also a teacher should NEVER make you feel dumb. Confusion is a MAJOR part of the learning process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you really need help with? How do you like to learn. What study habits suit you best?
