About
I'm a ninth grader enrolled in the Spanish immersion program at Wakefield High School in Arlington, and I really love helping kids with their studies. I've been in advanced classes for most of my life, so I really understand the importance of studying and certain tips and tricks to help you pass a class more easily. Being apart of an immersion program gives me a different point of view on learning because I feel like it helps me stand out and since I've been enrolled since kindergarten, learning in a different language helps me take different approaches to challenges, which I think applies to tutoring in a very positive way.
I really enjoy helping kids with what they struggle with in school, because I think it's very important for students to feel good about what they're learning. I think it really empowers kids when they have better grades, and it raises their self-confidence.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I think it's important to get to know someone before you really delve into the problem because it makes kids feel more comfortable. So first, I try to bond with them a bit and ask questions about their thoughts on the subject they need extra help with to try and come up with a lesson plan that would benefit them the most.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a red cross certified babysitter, so I know a lot about working with kids. I also have 3 younger siblings that I help out a lot.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50/hour.
What types of students have you worked with?
I mostly work with kids who are from ages 9-13, because I feel like I can apply what I've learned over the past few years most efficiently to a tight group of ages.
