We track each student's progress and prepare materials ahead of time so that each session is used efficiently. Additionally, learning resources provided are free for the student to use. Selling books is not our goal. We can offer information about our respective colleges, provide insight to the application process, work with students in courses including AP/Honors, and help with SAT/ACT test preparation. We have experience working with elementary, middle, and highschool-aged students.

Frequently asked questions

For new students, we have an introductory package which includes a diagnostic test, a consultation, and a trial lesson. For every new student, we will have them take a diagnostic test in the given subject to assess their academic level and determine if they have any foundational gaps in their understanding. After they take the test, we will have a consultation to discuss what the student's goals are and decide which topics to prioritize to make the best use of their time. The student will then get their trial lesson and decide whether our tutors are a good fit for them.

Annabel is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at Cornell University as an electrical and computer engineering major. She has done peer tutoring in her high school on many AP courses and worked at a tutoring center specializing in SAT Prep.

Stephen is currently attending Caltech as an undergraduate electrical engineer and varsity baseball player. He has tutored a wide variety of AP courses, including and up to AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1+2, AP Physics C, AP Language and Composition, and AP Comparative Government. He also has experience tutoring ACT preparation.

Annabel:
I started teaching casually in high school, tutoring my peers. Because I enjoyed watching students' academic epiphanies, in the summer of my freshman year in college, I decided to work at a professional tutoring center to reach more students.

We have worked with a range of high school students, up to and including AP level students. Additionally, we have  worked with elementary school and preschool children in basic math and reading.

Make sure the teacher places emphasis on creating a strong foundation and is able to help determine where the gaps in your understanding are. Find a teacher who can communicate clearly. A good teacher must not only have a proficient understanding in their area of study, but also good at explaining complex concepts concisely.
