I’m a reading therapist. My passion is to help students struggling academically due to dyslexia or other learning differences become confident readers. I offer a free assessment for remedial readers followed by a detailed evaluation of the reading level of the student , with thoughts and recommendations. My targeted students are 2nd to 12 graders, ESL students and adults with dyslexia and/or learning difficulties . The sessions will focus on addressing the problems so the student can overcome the challenges. I also focus on all area of literacy including reading, comprehension, spelling, writing , grammar, etc.
Once we start working, I provide my students with the first set of needed workbooks . I send follow up messages weekly and detailed email monthly so the family of my student is aware of what we do and the progress made.
I also offer classes learning Arabic as a second language in a fun and easy way. My students are ages 12 and up . I customize my sessions based on the student’s goals. The student will be able to speak, read and write the language as well as learn about the culture. I’m familiar with all the Arabic different dialects of the student prefers to learn the dialect not the Modern Standard Arabic.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For reading therapy sessions, I give an assessment for free and I send a full report and recommendations regarding the assessment results. When I start working with the student, I provide the workbooks needed and I give out "Tokens Of Appreciation" after every session to keep encouraging the hardwork. I give another assessment during therapy sessions to determine the progress and to see where we are standing at. The student family will get a periodic report to be involved in the learning process. Towards the end, I give a gift card along with a final assessment report. I use other reading programs and different resources to make sure the the learning journey is enjoyable for the students. I've been working with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, Autism students for many years and I'm trained to handle their learning differences.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a reading therapist for 14 years and I hold the license to train teachers and educators in Phono-Graphix reading program. I have been operating online a2z Reading Clinic to reach out to a wider range of students. I've helped students around the USA and international students overcome their reading struggles and become confident readers. I am a member of the International Dyslexia association and I have attended many conferences and seminars related to dyslexia and other learning differences. I address all areas of literacy and teach ESL for adults .
