About
I am a 3rd year student at University of Virginia majoring in biology on the pre-med track.
I want to make a difference in the formative years of a child`s development. I hope tutoring will inspire children to become confident individuals in their learning and encourage them to have a hunger to learn more. It is essential that as the practitioner, we inspire pupils beyond what they believe they can achieve and help them to reach their goals.
I strongly believe building positive relationships with individual pupils matter; children need to feel able to make mistakes without feeling judged in order for them to progress in their learning.
I am willing to respond to the needs of individual learners as I want to provide inclusive education for all pupils whilst appreciating their bespoke needs.
I would love to help students build their confidence in developing a skill and working to pass their exams.
The main subjects I covered before was English and algebra elementary to high school level. Biology and anatomy high school and collage level. I also prepped students on how to organizes and study.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always dive into the expectations the students want from me and address what I need from them to help them reach their goals.
I start with quetions like...
- The subject
- The age/level
- The exam board - it is vital that you work towards the specific exam board a student is working on if they are seeking tuition for a specific course.
- Current working level (grades achieved) - this will allow you to prepare material based roughly at the right level of your student.
- Areas where the student feels they are struggling (if they're able to identify this)
- Expectations of tuition - you need to know whether your student is looking for long-term tuition or a one-off lesson.
- It will be more like a conversation.
- To stop you when they don’t understand anything. To ask questions whenever they need to.
- That you will work on the areas they struggle on, as that will help them the most
- and answer any questions they might have about how it will work.
