LBJ Tutoring
About
I see the student as more than just a student. I believe that every student has the possibility to achieve their goals if they create a simple and effective plan. I have experience teaching science both in America and abroad, and take those experiences to help develop the whole child.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first want to understand the goals of the student. Why are they reaching out for a tutor? Where do they see themselves in 5 years? What is their intimate goal?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
5 years of teaching experience both domestically and abroad. Along with classroom teaching, I have held extracurricular science study halls, established science fairs, and tutored SAT Chemistry classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from very diverse backgrounds. Teaching at an international school, it was not uncommon to have students from 5 or 6 different countries all under the same roof. Along with that, in my experience in the states, I have had a very diverse student body from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would find someone who listens as much as they speak. Sometimes, teachers dominate the classroom and conversations, but it is through an understanding of students' experiences that you can learn how to best educate them.
