Hi, I'm Sofia, and I love working with students. I love to travel, too! For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a more personal level, I am a nerdy type of teacher and learner, and I work well with all types of students! I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Engineering. I love being able to bring both my enthusiasm and experience to the table. Passing on what I've learned from my own tutors is my commitment. I thought it made me so happy to finally get something that was so difficult for me to understand. I've found that it's even better from the other side. It's so satisfying navigating students through a concept that they've struggled with and come out hyped that they got it.

I love helping students feel comfortable and successful in all subjects. It is my pleasure to help students overcome a challenge or difficulty and become confident in their abilities. I have taught 3rd and 5th grade and I am completing my fourth year teaching in the classroom . I strive to build positive relationships with my students so they are comfortable asking for help.
