Thien's Math Tutoring
About
The only motivation that keeps me going as a tutor is that the satisfaction from students to learn and apply them to real-life problems. I have worked with students in the past as a volunteer for three years (Pre-COVID), and I wanted to take my tutoring skills to the next level.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Greet the student, ask them how's their day, and usually discuss what topics the student might be struggling on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Even though I have no certificate, I used to volunteer in a Catholic Parish teaching kids ages 7-15 about Catholicism and basic Vietnamese.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
If I get comfortable in this type of teaching environment, I would charge the student a standard rating ($10-15 per hour) depending on the duration of the session. The first 30-minute session is free.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
