My name is Carson, I am a junior in high school and have a 3.75 GPA. I am very good when it comes to teaching and help out a lot with teaching younger kids with subjects they don't quite get yet. I'm patient and I'm determined to help your child master certain subjects.

I am a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner that specializes in teaching phonics skills to struggling readers. I have been tutoring individuals since 2021. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education along with a Master's degree in Education. I'm a full-time special education teacher and have taught for 13 years. Since I teach during the day, I only have time to tutor in the evenings and weekends. I specialize in grades 2-6, but can work with older or younger learners as well.

I love being able to bring both my enthusiasm and experience to the table. Passing on what I've learned from my own tutors is my commitment. I thought it made me so happy to finally get something that was so difficult for me to understand. I've found that it's even better from the other side. It's so satisfying navigating students through a concept that they've struggled with and come out hyped that they got it.

For your elementary aged child, finding someone who knows exactly what they are doing can be difficult. I graduated from SUU with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 2009. I have taught in the classroom for ten years and am looking to expand my horizons outside of the classroom. My primary focus over the past ten years has been in third grade, though I have taught fifth as well. The unique thing about third grade is that in a third grade classroom sometimes I see the biggest ranges of all the grades in my room.
