I'm a Newbery-Honor winning author and New York Times writer, whose books have received multiple literary stars and have been included in multiple best books lists. I've spent decades teaching and tutoring, but more importantly, I've been devouring and creating literature since I was tiny and can honestly say it has helped me craft a great career and meaningful life. I would love to help students find the same joys in this art as I have.
