Caswell Tutoring
About
I've been teaching students for over 25 years. Recently, I noticed a need for reading tutors and wanted to help students acheive in this area. I'm trained in the Wilson program where I completed a practicum through the UURC to help struggling readers, including those with dyslexia.
I love watching students acheive and realize they can do hard things.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess their skill level so I know their strengths and weaknesses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Summer of 2021 I completed the Wilson practicum for the non-responsive reader. This year long practicum through the UURC included trainer's feedback and collaboration with other tutors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Please contact me for pricing. I have competetive rates. So far, parents say my rates are the most reasonable they've seen in the Sandy, Utah area.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching music at Park View Elementary in Payson, Ut while I was finishing my Bachelor of Arts at BYU. I realized then that I loved teaching and have taught in various settings over the past 25 yrs: elementary classrooms, private piano and voice lessons, community outreach programs (i.e. Project Read). I especially enjoy working one-on-one with students because I feel that students thrive if they have undivided attention.
