About
I have loved history since high school. I took every AP history and social studies exam and passed each of them. In college I majored in history and became a teaching assistant so that I could begin tutoring students part time. I have over a year of teaching and tutoring since graduation, with my specialties in history and English.
I love when a student understands a concept and can explain it back to me. I think that having students click with a subject that has been difficult in the past is the most rewarding part of teaching and tutoring.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to do a quick 10-15 minute consultation either in person or on a video chat service in order to better understand my students' needs, expectations, and learning styles. Depending on the goals of each student, we can tailor our sessions to help ace a class, pass a specific exam, or understand a subject better.
