Hi! My name is Nathan Macdonald. I have been working as a mechanical engineer for over 10 years, am a licensed professional engineer and a certified safety professional. As an engineer I work in new product development, analysis (often of amusement park rides) and expert witness work in product liability and patent litigation. My passion for English began as a child as I attended various American International schools and studied among kids from all over the world, many of which were attending while learning English as a second language. Later I attended and graduated a Fine & Performing Arts high school in Virginia studying creative writing for 4 years, with an emphasis on poetry. After graduating a year early, I decided it is time to give back to the scholastic community, and do my part to help people succeed as I did. I studied Spanish throughout my childhood as well.

I'm a nerd through and through, but like a fun nerd :) I have years of experience teaching Spanish and ESL, as well as a rich background in science and computer programming, but my real specialty is Math. Though I am a nerd, I'm no stranger to test anxiety or confusion with new material. I've got your back, we can get through that together.
