Nichols Tutoring

Hi! My name is Felicia Nichols, and I'm passionate about helping students feel confident, capable, and successful in school. I'm available to support students in kindergarten through 8th grade with reading, writing, and math.

I have three years of experience working in an elementary school, where I taught Tier 2 reading intervention and supported students in building stronger foundational and academic skills. I've taught reading lessons from kindergarten through 6th grade and have also worked with students to strengthen their understanding of math concepts. This experience has taught me how important it is to meet students where they are, adjust instruction to their individual needs, and make learning feel encouraging rather than overwhelming.

Academically, I've always had a strong love for both language arts and math. I was an honors student in both subjects throughout high school and have received two Presidential Academic Awards - one for overall academic achievement in 9th grade and another for achievement in math in 5th grade. At the university level, I have also received honors for writing and for my ability to effectively teach and execute a lesson introducing a new concept.

Whether your student needs extra practice, help understanding a challenging concept, support catching up, or simply a little more confidence, I want to create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. I love finding ways to make learning engaging, supportive, and personalized to each student.
