Hi! I’m Britta, an experienced educator with five years of classroom teaching experience and a master’s degree in Secondary Education & Curriculum. I specialize in helping students in grades 2–12 build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and become more independent learners.
My background is in Humanities, with expertise in writing, reading comprehension, English/Language Arts, social studies, and history. I also offer homework help, study skills, organization, research/project support, and executive-function coaching.
As a teacher, I’ve worked with students across a wide range of abilities and learning styles. I’m especially skilled at connecting with middle schoolers - including students who feel overwhelmed, unmotivated, or convinced they’re “just not good” at school. My approach is warm, patient, and encouraging while still providing structure and accountability. I tailor my support to each student, with the goal of building skills and confidence that extend well beyond our tutoring sessions.
