The Doctor Decoder
About
I love seeing people of all ages reach new levels of confidence by achieving their goals. My primary objective is to impart practical as well as technical knowledge to propel you to the next level. I believe anyone of any age can learn anything if properly taught. I've taught basic physiology to elementary students and successful public speaking strategies to older adults. Effective teaching requires an engaged learner and strategies that are learner-appropriate.
I've done my job well if you feel like you can teach others what I've taught you.
I specialize in working with highy motivated learners. It is valuable and rewarding for me to see learners excel in areas that were once challenging for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Everyone has unique needs and goals. In my experience, student-tailored or specialized plans are the most effective for long-term success. I will meet with students first to assess their base-line level of competency in a given area and to ensure I understand their short- and long-term goals. After that, we will agree on a plan together which will both meet their needs and maximize our time together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have degrees in Engineering and Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; a Masters in Global Medicine and Public Policy from Keck; and my MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
I have practiced in a variety of fields in the science and tech sector, I am a published author, and I have spoken on National platforms. Knowledge combined with effective communication are critical to what I do.
I have taught students from all ages (elemenary to adult), races, and socioeconomic backgrounds for over 15 years. I emphasize the goals of the learner and work within their schedule and ability to reach their goals.
