Hello, I'm Alicia (Located in Utah)! I have been tutoring for the last 8 years where I have helped both college and high school students with math, introductory engineering, and physics courses. I have a bachelor’s degree in Math Education with a minor in Physics Education, and I studied Engineering for 3.5 years before switching to Education. After graduating, I worked as a high school math teacher for several years and loved watching students grow in confidence and enthusiasm for hard subjects.
I love working with students one-on-one, and as weird as this sounds, tutoring people is one of my favorite things to do! Especially people who don’t consider math/science to be their best subject. When a student does not understand the way I explain a concept the first time, it actually gets me excited. My engineering/problem-solving brain kicks in, and I love getting to discover a new way to teach a concept that makes sense to the person I am helping. I’d love to work with you soon!
