Math and Science has been an integral part of my education from elementary school to college. Using the knowledge I have gained over the years enables me to help others grow in their knowledge of math and science as well.
I enjoy helping others understand topics that are challenging to them and I have a passion for science and applying mathematics to everyday life.

Get an idea of their learning style and get to know what typically works best for them in understanding new material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering and have taken courses in math and science all throughout my education.

I am a new tutor and don't have much experience with students, but I have experience in collaborating with other college students while discussing and solving problems in various courses.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was able to demonstrate my understanding of a topic by helping a college classmate understand why the correct answer was the right answer and not the original answer they gave.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they can demonstrate knowledge of the topic you need help with and that they fit your preferences.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be able to ask yourself - What part of this information don't I understand? How can I approach this differently to solve the problem? Do I need to make study habit changes?
